The SW Spiny Tailed Gecko, Strophurus spinigerus, is also known as the Tree Dtella and is native to the lower west coast and adjacent hinterland of West Australia. It is not CITES protected.

White Crowned Hornbill

The White-crowned Hornbill, Berenicornis comatus, is a species of hornbill found in forests in the Thai-Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo. It is listed on CITES under Appendix II as it is under threat from habitat destruction. This specimen was photographed in the Bali Bird Park, Ubud.

Two tadpoles photographed stranded in a puddle on a large lily leaf of a pond. The tropical warmth of the day threatened to overheat their little pool. A short wriggle into the cool pond water below was fraught with large hungry koi.
