Bali is an island of weekly, if not daily, festivals and celebrations. In the lead up to the Hindu new year celebrations of Nyepi, these locals dressed in religious white with coloured cumberbunds, leave the Melasti Festival in Kuta at dusk chanting and banging on drums.
