This trip to Bali in 2009 to photograph the street dogs led to a fundraising exhibition, the founding of www.pavva.org.au and inspired continued coverage of animal conservation issues.

A puppy that had been abandoned at a local temple now awaiting quarantine.

A juvenile dog on the "food run" gets rice, dog biscuits and medication for mange.

The BAWA ambulance make regular visits to dogs known to be in need of food and medication.

 

BAWA's veterinarian and vet nurse spend the day making house calls.

 

A fly blown ear. Maggots grew under the skin then ate their way out.

 

Insecticide was dripped into the wound to kill the maggots so they could be removed.

Pregnant again so spaying will need to wait until this litter has weaned.

The large tumour on the underside of this dog is a viral carcinoma spread by mating.
